Betrayal The day that Judas went to Christ with his betraying kiss, and Pontias Pilate turned and said I wash my hands of this. The day that peter lied three times and the crown of thorns was through, Jesus said forgive them father for they know not what they do. They made him bare the cross that day and then his words they mocked, but Jesus with compassion listened while they talked. The day they nailed him to the cross a soldier pierced him through, again he said forgive them father for they know not what they do. The day that he gave up his ghost to the heavenly host above, he died for each and every soul through his enduring love. Although we say today that we all greive the loss, by word, by deed, and actions we still make him bare the cross. We go about our business and each year we make a fuss, forgetting the most important thing he died that day for us. |
