Unshed Tears Enter the realm of unshed tears where sentries protect you, from all your fears memories we thought, would never last keep echoing from a less fortunate past where emotional whirlpools of unresolved pain would overwhelm us, in a cloudburst of rain With feelings from yesterday, hitting us hard should we grow lax, let down our guard within this fortress, where our memories beckon old wounds sit idle and conscience not reckoned now emotionally morgaged, ghosts stir deja vu and bring a pain thats old, but an ache thats new Where joy, that once clear ideal was sacrificed, when we learned not to feel and in that moment, we forgot to dare is the reason now we're lost and scared in this haunted castle, where shadows run deep trust is rare and suspicion creeps In this emotional desert, there is no fun chonic self doubt is all we won in this game of life, where our souls keep score always yearning for something more marking time, with lessons not learned leaves us all in the end, bitter and burned Questions not answered, as age sneaks up reflect the emptiness now, within our cup the pain we gave, for the anguish felt was a poor way to handle, the cards we're dealt and looking back its hard to see a real difference between you and me So enter the realm of unshed tears where we all become, our unresolved fears memories we live, from a distant past show how long, self torture can last parched and dry a soul in pain perhaps all we needed, was that cloud burst of rain |
