Martin Luther King Rap

Martin Luther King fought for civil rights. He didn't want violence between the blacks and whites. He hated segregation in the schools and on the bus. He organized a boycott which caused alot of fuss. The cops arrested him, and threw him into jail, but his message of non-violence was heard without fail. His campaign for peace was told throughout the land. In 1964, he held the peace prize in his hand. Many people came to hear his famous speech, There were not many that his message didn't reach. In 1968, an assasin shot him -- dead, but we will always recognize the important things he said.

Additional Notes:
My son had to write a song about Martin Luther King Jr. for an assignment at school. This is what we came up with. He had to perform this rap with a friend for the school's Black History Month assembly. We submitted it to poetry.com before we knew better :)
