ANGEL CANDACE

          I am so mad, irate and angry           I am close to being out of control,           usually when I read the devil's work           it doesn't shake me to my soul.           But todays news is the torture           of a lovely little ten year old           by respected and licensed counselors.           Oh God this world is cold!           Candace Newmaker WAS her name           please say it loud for me,           then read of her last hour on earth           a worse hell there cannot be.           She was tortured slow and sure,           always pleading for her life.           Her counselors joked "Go ahead and die."           Why not just use a knife?           Rebirthing therapy is what it's called.           And where is common sense?           With proudly framed four year degrees,           no-one could be that dense!           She begged for air and for her life           but the therapy went on and on,           after sixty minutes of suffering,           our Candace sadly was gone.           Candace Newmaker just ten years old,           I am sorry from my soul.           Each time one of our children die,           it exacts an awful toll.           I hope you are not forgotten           by this warped society.           We know you were as sweet a girl           as there could ever be.
