Thorn

Tears fall, still bleeding the night comes. I burn out in shallow cries. Forgive me, I gave up. Don't cry for me, I wouldn't cry for you. I will die soon, don't look back because I wont be there. When the flesh takes hold death comes like a hurricane. I try to breath, life forced down in putrid handfuls. I don't want it, the taste metallic and cold. Coughing blood, I see empty promise. Tomorrow's dawn brings a sickly dream. My body aches. My own soul weeps for me. Bonded to depravity, shadows close in. I scream, silence echoes, no one listens. The mind finds solace in suicide. Feel the burning inside, my stomach twists. Swallowing my tongue, guttural tones escape. The eyes roll back, and life begins. Tears fall, still bleeding the night comes, the night ends.... .."Heaven?"....at the height of grief, I've drowned in sorrows empty dawn.No light shined for me. No heart bled my name sweetly in its rhythms. Love is for those of an age buried beneath desire. Captured souls of a candle burning  out. Failed in love, I broke in her cold embrace. My angel of death to end my time, in the blood soaked cries of servitude.
