Epiphany

It was that night, on our walk home after the movie when I thought  I saw God, small and  bent in the corner  of your eye.  Surprised his feet were like an infant's, half covered in sawdust. While he prayed a lullaby, we lingered longer like confused circus dogs staring into storefronts, arguing over the styles and colors of couches. Then you and me and God decided on the green plaid with the wing tipped back.
