Sturgeon's Duck Hunt

You don't believe in monsters!    I don't believe in ghosts,    let me tell a little story    happened on the northwest coast.    At the bottom of the famous Lake Washington    lived a monster who would sometimes float,    ducks would disappear    and you could die of fear,    if you'd fallen from your boat.    Early in the day you'd hear some "Quack quacks,"    by evening you would hear none!    Some say it may have been a big fish    out to have some monstrous fun.    I will never ever go lake swimming    with a creature like that about.    They say they don't bite    but I think they just might,    I only hope I never have to find out.    A sturgeon is big, mean and ugly    their length can reach twenty feet.    They will knock your boat out of the water,    so you better make a hasty retreat.    Don't go swimming in the big lake    for they can suck down half your leg,    you'll be walking around    with one foot on the ground,    for the other foot you'll have a peg!    So if you are close with any mallards    or know any other kinds of ducks,    tell them to stay in the small streams    where they will find much better luck.    Don't let them go to the big lakes,    tell them "Please keep flying south."    I have warned you all    so don't take a fall,    and end up in the monster's mouth!

Additional Notes:
From the following A.P. article. Jan.1988 BELLEVUE, Wash. Monster Sturgeon Found Dead An 11-foot sturgeon weighing a half-ton has been found dead in Lake Washington, where tales have long persisted of a huge, duck eating monster. State fisheries officials said it weighed 900 pounds and estimated it was hatched around the turn of the century. One of the largest freshwater fish in the world, it is a bottem feeder that eats snails and small fish. They can grow to more than 1000 lbs. and 20 ft. Their mouths are not structured to eat ducks despite the stories.
