Easter Mornings

Sussex was the little town, where family gathered all around and only laughter could be found On Easter mornings. Where all had gathered there to see, A little girl so filled with glee. Her Easter treats, What would they be On Easter mornings? A lacey dress in shades of blue, hair ribbons, in assorted hues. Black patent leather Sunday shoes On Easter mornings. A Basket filled with celephane straw, a lucky torquoise rabbits paw Among the things I always saw On Easter mornings. Easter bunnies to delight, made of chocolate brown and white waiting there for me to bite on Easter mornings. But I have saved the best for last, The childhood memories, of Easters past. Of Mother's hugs, how time does pass on Easter mornings.
