FAIREST GREETING

Welcome there stranger,   I extend to you my fairest greeting. Finally, I am thankful   for the chances of our meeting. Together, we must preserve   a heritage we've shared for ages. I'm grateful that our paths have   crossed, if only in these pages. So please, sit down here with me,   I've many tales I'd like to tell. Though some may seem a little strange,   they are all true here as well. Some, you may recognize,   we've maybe traveled these same trails. Though our reflections differ slightly   in our own version of our tales. I'll search archives of my mind,   a time gone, but I'm forever hold'n. Memoirs from another place in time,   moments lingering dear and golden. I'll view you not as a stranger,   aquaint you only as my good friend. Sharing a few of my past memories,   maybe jar a few of yours once again. Our defeats and our victories   have not been fought in vain. Cause the breath of Mother Nature,   has often 'kissed away' our pain. We appreciate these same interests,   but I admire your many tastes. As you read through these pages, I hope   to read reflection in your face. I hope you'll enjoy my company,   if only just for this short while. But since we can't part in a handshake,   I'm content to settle for just your smile.

Additional Notes:
In my past writing I have compiled three books of poetry, all nature related. In my first, entitled WHITE TALES AND TROUT LIES, this poem Fairest Greeting, is my 'WELCOME' to the readers found in the introduction.
