D Day

I’ve been looking into “D” Day Must say I can’t understand How so many live were wasted It couldn’t have been what they planned Over 100,000 men Thrown up on the beaches Nowhere near their homeland Far from their lovers reaches For one man to kill another Mostly due to fear When they decided to join the army I’m sure they didn’t expect to end here June 6th, 1944 Now known as Dooms day Seems we haven’t learnt in 50 years That there’s a different way

Additional Notes:
This was completed after researching Dooms Day ... for a group of us are working on another D Day - Make a "Difference Day" ... aiming to coincide with June 6th, 2002.
