Pun - Ish - Ment

"I am a Jester," I said, adjusting my cap, "I am a fool! To believe a jackass  like you!" He brayed something in response but I chose to ignore his dumb-foundered look. I turned a quick trick and lost my cap in the effort. "There's More than one Fish in the See." I hymned spitefully. (His mitered hat looked ridiculous teetering between Those floppy ears,) "Surely some other high priest of Love will do as well." I spoke to this ass distantly. "My heart is strong, my legs nimble, my mind quick and fond. I am the master of my ship of Destiny." (The ship promptly heaved  under my feet, unbalancing My wretched thoughts.)  "I shall sail my ship Of fools Into mystified ports, find a safe birth. And there I, a siren singing low and sweet soft calling lonely sailors will remember that although I may court  danger, I am no longer fool  to a jack-ass."

Additional Notes:
An acquaintance of mine was once raped by a priest and then assisted to abort the resultant child. As she told me of this event, and I reviewed the devestation shown in her life history, this poem came directly onto the paper from my unconscious. She had planned to become a nun, but had to settle for mental patient.
