Life's Treasures

I stand with regret As life's chances, Passed upon me  Never to be touched I stand with sorrow As my heart, Has never felt the passion of love I stand with pain  As my soul, Has never felt the warmth of happiness I stand with hopelessness As my mind, Has been empty with no loving memory For these were the feelings Through life I have endured As for now I see, The ship of chance I set sail for a journey To find the priceless treasure in life For I let the winds of fate Send me on my way....
