In Memory of Emily

You, to your own heart resigned,  you only dreamed of love.  You never dreamed the dream of the truly absurd  when night itself did not want you.  You, to your own soul consigned,  you romanticized love.  You never puked on the vomit of your own words,  when they came back up to haunt you.  You, to your own hearth confined,  you divorced flesh from love.  And legions of lost, lustless souls to this day drown  in your pathetic, shallow verse.    You, to your own Hell resigned,  you knew nothing of love.  You spent your whole life wrapped in an old woman's gown,  protecting an old woman's purse.
