War and Love

As i sit here so far away from home, My mind starts to wander and roam, I think of you, And how i wish i could hold you, Kiss you and carress you, Gaze into your eyes, And see you smile. But i am so far away from home, My mind starts to wander and roam, Back to a day before the war, Before the fighting And the sorrow of death, Back to a day... When i could make you laugh, Make you cry with tears of joy Not like the sorrow all around me, Back to a happier day When we could make love in the rain, And dance in the shadow of a rainbow
