What in the world could be wondered?

What in the world could be wondered, when you’re wondering all by yourself? Is it something you’ve put in your mind, that has now been made into itself? Is the truth apparent, or are secrets around you the truth?  Have little bits of you been squandered, in tumultuous episodes of youth? Is selfishness something you swallow? Have the candles been burning to dim? Did your light flicker out over dinner? Or did you blow it out on a whim? All of the danger you’ve stepped over All of the hurt you held deep All of the times you weren’t sleeping Just moving around in the sheets The happiness glowing around you How do you feel it was robbed? The wet sweatshirt sleeve that held secrets Catching the water you sobbed When did they say it was easy? When did it lay itself down? When did the road become softer? As you felt your head hit the ground It flows and it moves as your going The ups and the downs that we face I hope that I end up knowing How to fix the mistakes I put in place What in the world could be wondered, when you’re wondering all by yourself?
