Looked Over Death

His body fermented with booze  He lay in the street with nothing to lose Mucus flowing from his mouth and nose I could have helped if I had so chose And I ask you why Why in this world should a man  So horribly die  And how could I lack the empathy  Not to even say goodbye Is my selfish type of breed Why people stop to need Am I so viciously in control That I can’t bleed for another mans soul I wish I would have helped His eyes burn in my mind A reminder of me Thinking only of me  And how I left a man to die...
