Steady As I Go

My world trembles beneath me No grasp to hold me down Life experience has taught me Below the surface solid sounds Of future walks of being So while past fears do fall And recognized through passage There is no ground at all Sometimes only a place to lie my head I know this feeling past not dead For me or no man smart Simply the power not possessed To detour what lies ahead And as the world evolves I balance my footing upon it's ridges And walk along its rough edges Stepping steady to what I know...
