THEN AND NOW They were people, just like you and me They were people that had jobs, just like you and me They were educated people, just like you and me But yet they were different and because of this difference they were herded and rounded up and given yellow stars to wear on their clothing and shoved into dank and dark box cars Imprisoned, beaten, starved, raped and gassed to death because they were different They are called Jews Today, in another part of the world Sixty years later, it's happening again because they are different This time they are forced to wear a red patch because they are different They are the Hindus And the world waits and watches And the world has no memory of six million slaughtered Jews! |
