THEN AND NOW

They were people, just like you and me They were people that had jobs, just like you and me They were educated people, just like you and me But yet they were different      and because of this difference      they were herded      and rounded up      and given yellow stars to wear on their clothing      and shoved into dank and dark box cars Imprisoned, beaten, starved, raped      and gassed to death      because they were different They are called Jews Today, in another part of the world Sixty years later, it's happening again      because they are different This time they are forced to wear a red patch      because they are different They are the Hindus And the world waits and watches And the world has no memory                            of six million slaughtered Jews!
