If Not For Love

If not for love, what would I be?   The days would echo drearily   And nights would be so long and cold,   Without someone I love to hold.   What good each milestone met and passed,   If under Heaven's deep and vast   Rare atmosphere, no one to care   Was waiting, somewhere, for me there?   My life would be an empty shell,   If not for love and faith as well.
