Cat in Heat

Feel like goin' out and kickin' ass. Walk down that dirty alley, piss-stench everywhere. Yeah, strut down that skanky alley... strut 'til I find some tail to slam. Meow-w-r, psssst, hiss, hiss! Furred, frenzied shadows leap out from under tons of trashy  consumerism refuse heaps. Cats...goddamn cats in heat! Nothin' worse in the world to hear than screamin' cats in summer heat... 'specially when you ain't been gettin' none. Here pussy, nice little puss-puss. Likin' cats ain't no big deal. Some and none they're all the same. Got three at home and jus' for fun keep 'em each under a basket o' cane. Ya see...no muss, no fuss. Lordy!!!  Gravels crunch and fur flies ...wild yellow eyes glare past the dust. Now there's only one... a wiry little savage; survivor of the musth and, unlike me, he got him some! ____Vern
