My Sweet Sleeping Baby There’s a feeling of stillness in the air. My new baby has finally begun to dose. Once again I count her tiny toes, just to make sure they’re all there. And then I smell her soft, sweet hair. Next I follow the contour of her nose with each breath as delicate as a rose. And I steal a little kiss if I dare. I think of what she will be when she gets older. But I try not to rush the future. For now I’m happy just to hold her because I’m afraid I won’t get to for long, That’s why I cherish every moment of my sweet sleeping baby. |
