Screams

Jackhammer strong, noise slams into her brain Piercing through defenses, shredding Nerves into strips. Roaring, pulsing Giant hammers hit, hit and hit again. The central nervous system is attacked Until the conscious self just fades within. A cavern deep within is hushed, dead, still  An acid river flows in silence there. Deeper, deeper, grows the mental chasm Eroded by the years of hidden tears Etching its own tale in basalt rock The silence echoes back her secret screams. The screams remain, trapped in the lonely space Between the ears. I somehow stay outside.
