The Journeyman Begins I know the time is growing near Your quest is about to begin A journey to far off lands Where only your thoughts have been A horizon that’s not known to you May it fulfil your every dream Though it may not always go your way Every lessons not as it would seem May your heart stay pure, mind alert Welcome life as it comes And each night as the eve does set Remember stars are but many suns For every journey there’s many a path Don’t follow, take the lead With every forward step you take You’ve planted another seed For when you return I expect to see My brother turned to a man With many a lesson under the belt With the knowledge that you can! |
Additional Notes:
This was written as a farewell poem for my brother who set off for the European jaunt to find himself.
