Revolutions

The waves keep rolling on their thunderous march Slowly caressing the sand Water sparkles across the horizon Such beauty couldn’t be planned Birds hover low, searching for food The sun flitters out from the sky The moon rises, the tides gain Another sunset has passed me by The night sky shimmers in a frivolous dance The moon gives me a smile Energised red fades to blue As evening announces its style From blue to black … the changing of guard A shift from dusk to night New noises emerge as the moon finishes its curve A new dawn is now in sight A burst of light … yellow and white The sun proclaims its return A new wave of sparkles dance on the water A serenity most people yearn A new day is sprung, the cycles complete The evolution of life churns on My lingering hope is that through this note I’ll always remember this song.
