A Fine and Lucky Day Like a thousand rain kisses upon my face The dew- drops, dropped dew Blanketed by a shimmer of Irish gold I was greeted with the colors of the morn Yes it was a fine and lucky day I never saw a rainbow spew its color array I never saw such beauty as I did within this day Blanketed across in golden rows Lilies prancing in a picture show Dancing for my delight Silly as an awakened boy I took off my shoes And twirled with joy In a festival of reds, purples, and blues Peddles of princesses danced As I tapped my toes And with them I romanced To the flowered music I never saw a rainbow spew its color array I never saw such beauty as I did within this day Blanketed across in golden rows Lilies prancing in a picture show Dancing for my delight Like a thousand rain kisses upon my face The dew- drops, dropped dew Blanketed by a shimmer of Irish gold I was greeted with the colors of the morn Yes it was a fine and lucky day Boyish I clapped encoreā¦. |
