Apart

In these moments of parting      I reach for your tender touch; I never thought it could be possible      for my heart to ache so much! Why must we be lonely,      are we destined to be apart? Haven't we suffered enough,      haven't we done our part? For because this world is cold and cruel      not caring for a sole; We often find we're in positions      over which we've no control.
