Children of the Land We are all God's children we live and breath the air Why is it some have to pay the price of the others who do not care We come as one, we're brothers all yet we fight, we kill and maim It's always the same old story just the reason's aren't the same They have a war to gain some land Is it worth so many lives Does anyone think it's right to do to kill our daughters, husbands and wives The children suffer no matter who wins innocent beings of an adult idea They die of hunger, pain and suffering will the world ever stop to see? What are we going to do? Sit by and watch the children die? For some it's not a choice for others it's their lifetime cry Let's open our hearts and do our part if for anything our children of the land Together we can make a difference Together we can lend a hand We ourselves have made a promise to God, and the children we do not know We will be there, and devote our life To help you live and help you grow It may not be much, but for now it's all we have Because we want the world to see Not what we do or how we care but that there is an entire world of need Open your heart, and think for a moment How you would be if it where your child? That has no food, no love no way to learn Just day to day, trying to survive in a world so wild Would you sit back and take a seat and only hope someday it will end? Or take a stand, lend your hand, to help a child for it is you they will depend It's hard to think that just today hundreds of children have died All they needed was a little help from us a good chance they would have survived We cry for each and every one That endured the pain of war We know that God has a place for them and they’ll feel their pain no more It's such a shame that in the world we live we couldn't have made life more fair For the children is where our future is let's hope the future has more care |
