Springtime

I hear the whistle of the wind Whisping brisky through the trees A spring day, so full of life And in the gardens fly the bees Song birds collecting on their own Some odds and ends and things To make a nest they’ll call their home Until their children learn to sing And in the air so high above With winter here no more The geese are flying to their homes To confront some cooler shores I see a squirrel along the floor his bounty found in holes from winter savings that he stored in case it got too cold The air is mixed with cool and warm And the sky is pastel blue It’s nature way to cleanse it’s past And to start again anew
