Day By Day

It's been months now since I've written      actually years if the truth were known And in that time I've done a lot of changing      but more importantly I have grown. No, not grown in size      well perhaps in weight to a small degree... Rather I've grown more on the inside      in ways the eye can never see! I have grown because of meeting people      who have shared their joy as well as pain, And I've grown by touching others hearts      in ways I can't explain. Now recently I have been compelled to write      simply because of touching thee Because of touching a person with such a beautiful heart      and glowing eyes that shine so radiantly; I do hope our newfound friendship      can continue growing day by day And that you never stop just simply being yourself      not in the tiniest or smallest most insignificant way.
