Why do I Love You why do I love you? I truly cannot say; it’s simply that I do, my love, love you in many ways. as the morning sun does rise reflecting golden hair, gossamer veils to my eyes, behold! my love so fair. skin of new spun silk I touch, burning in my heart, images of love as such to tear my soul apart. ruby lips of sweetest wine, I drink until I sate, yet thirsting for all time at the mercy of my fate. darkness falls and stars above are dancing with the moon. all for you and I, my love, and never ending soon. with such force as rivers flow unto the distant seas; courses change, yet always know your true love’s way to me. why do I love you? I truly cannot say; it’s simply that I do, my love, love you in many ways. |
