KITTENS

It's a shame they grow up in just one year They're full of happiness, and joyful cheer. So full of curiosity with no sense of fear Bouncing and hopping with no worries or tears. Not much escapes scrutiny that's new Skillfully climbing all within view. Bringing chuckles and smiles to us all Only to pause to listen to a bird's call. All in sight is a toy to be played The tolerant dog is a bed to be laid. Chasing each other from one place to another "Tag you're it" now the last chases the other. Like a furry circus of antics is the joy they give They make you so happy you feel lucky to live. When their play has drained them and they're in need of rest They will lie down and nap in the sun to rest from their mess. Once again to awaken, new fun starts to begin  There's a whole new world to play, frolic and roll in.
