Shhh, Just Listen

The birds know if its beauty as they gather to obtain strength, For a journey with direction to an unknown destination. While fires stir at the sea cliff behind its stony facade, Simple pleasure erupting from an enchanted site. Where tomatoes are ripened with the heat of a glass sky, As perch are lured on a summer morn then pan-fried to perfection. A bridge separates their worlds with its guards and rules, Yet a lake merges the two much more subtly and discreetly. Where the boundaries are flowing with movement and grace, Sometimes calm and peaceful, sometimes pounding and crashing. Yet always stirring, every changing, never the same. Forever energizing, eternally arousing with its fluid dance. Views from the other side reveal another world, Familiar yet different, like crossing over to a mirror image. To a place secluded, protected, yet not without storms. A private place, not without its secrets and stories to tell. For what story will you leave behind as you discover more grandeur, Ah, the mystery, as the tale continues to unfold. If only you will linger, for it has already occurred, Shhh, just listen.
