Safire

I breath'd for evil, lust and quick violence                           To go home and hate thine-self in silence.                                    Colud'st one live when among wasted lives?                                    When your heart -- haven -- is a lonely dive?               Why would thy love -- the world never loved me?               Love is a dream for poets who can't see.                             Or so I thought till thirty first of Ides                             When I found a savior of a new kind.                                      Non-biblical or widely advertised                                      But the most caring hearts and gorgeous eyes.                 All thy once knew hath now been redefined                 No more cold to my core or thy eyes blind.                                          Now I'm only living for the first time                                                  Fore living is loving, and thou art mine.

Additional Notes:
This was written for an English project. It was originally presented that each word was cut out from different color computer paper, and glued onto a piece of black construction paper. It has never been put into free verse positioning, until now. The Ides Remark was written when I though that ides meant March... foolish me... I have yet to remove it, for I am so fond of the line. Consider it poetic license :)
