INSATIABLE NEED

A man gave me some fresh fish and game  some he'd caught that very day. It filled a temporary void within me  till insatiable hunger returned to stay. I ate well, yes I must admit  but it triggered another hungry need. If I could learn to hunt and fish myself  I'd eat well forever, yes indeed. In the thoughts that feed my mind  I can still taste my hunger first. But also in quest for a drink  to quench my insatiable thirst. Then off I go forever seeking  to hunt and fish for another goal. For that stately balance to nourish  my mind, my body, my soul. For to hunt and fish is honorable,  fitting nicely within God's plan. T'is a match for the balance of nature.  T'is also a match for balance of man. The man's gift was appreciated,  so generous and graciously kind. For the time a man spends in pursuit,  feeds his body, his soul and his mind.
