See Saw See Saw I climb on and settle into the timeworn seat, My best friend on the other side dangling her feet. I trust her to maintain the delicate balance, While we bounce to the sky, our fear in abeyance. So many times we have embarked on this ride, Too often I have fallen hurting only my pride. Dusting myself after a very bad tumble, Glancing at my happiness and feeling so humble. She sweetly smiled, picked me up and gave me a kiss, My fragile emotions she would never dismiss. Once again we fly towards the seas in the sky, Abruptly falling to earth we let out a cry. This ride has its perils and moments that transcend, Not bad for a toy that only drops and ascends. |
