Shaman for a day

Shaman for a day As Amazon grains melt into smoke I die, Time yawns and swallows me in one bite, A wraith wrests my will by the throat, Ripping steely anchors from reality's  depths. My sofa gone, my living room gone, my home gone, The city, the state, the nation and the planet gone, No clothes, no skin, no heart, no breath, nothing, All that remains is a thought, a lonesome thought. "Oh God!" Neighbors appear, pixels by the thousands, Neon red, school bus yellow, and firefly green, Humming, flowing, undulating with purpose, The current bathes my mind, I scream. Voices penetrate the void, beckoning me, Lifelines swim into my grasp, Acolytes laugh and coax me home, Share your little death with us.
