Little Warrior

Black as night, stealthy he creeps. I can't hold back these tears of grief. Tan eyebrows, the smallest howl. My little warrior on the prowl. A friend he was in times of need. Ever loyal in thought and deed. A furry face and constant growl. My little warrior gentle, proud. He came to me in times of gloom. His joyful way a constant boon. With gentle love of friend and foe. Taught me what I did not know. I have been touched, gently blessed. Somehow he brings out my best. He wipes away my angry scowl. My little warrior's gift of tao. The times we shared from pup to man, Are closing swift, our time has ran. His beautiful heart shall be his prow. My little warrior is silent now.
