Self Doubt

Dark and musty, vacant smile. Misconception twisted wild. Friendship pure now bittersweet. Should it be 'Until next we meet...?' Silence needed, a heart rended, hurtful honesty extended. Can the moment be truly saved? Is all for naught the love I gave? Ever open... How can I be when walls do threaten enclosing me? Shut down complete, the victr'y won. Voices speak it must be done. Huddled silent, gagged an' bound, lofty dreams crash to the ground. Painful memories of failures past, I cannot win... I know at last.
