Darkness

Darkness falls heavily over my tortured soul.  The weight of years past crushing the hope of  days present. Viselike tendrils seep into my  walls gripping an unguarded heart; ripping it from a shaky foundation. Darkness invades, filling the hole once held  by my heart. Oozing into every cavern, every  crevice pushing out the remaining sparks of  light. Sorrow now rules sending a broken spirit  down the tumultuous mountain of Inability. Darkness sings its own mournful song. Eerie moans  of lost souls join mine in the chorus that is  Failure. Reaching with sickly fingers they pull  me further into the abyss of Hell. Sirens sing,  teeth gnash, sobs form tearless.  There is no Hope. There is no Light. There is Nothing.
