Reincarnation

A small cocoon hung in the air; It housed a larva changing there. In time a butterfly would be, If this cocoon could set it free. Alas the larva chose to stay. For safeties’ sake, it failed to brave The lofty heights of butterfly And there the lazy larva died. And when the larva came again, It then recalled what it had been. Of how it changed but failed to fly The lofty heights of butterfly. This time it shucked the binding shell, On air and wing, it flew like hell. It flew like hell right to the ground; It was a toad this time around.
