Her Absence

Her absence changes everything.   I reach out   to touch others   but all is obscure and uncertain.   My mind struggles to keep up.   But her face,   her eyes, her lips   burn through the fog of dimmer notions.   I am obsessed with one occasion.   Her return,   a sun lit day,   binding me like some reluctant spell.   So I await her winsome replace.   Occupied   with pen and sheet   and ideas that lead only to her grace.
