Memories Remain

A tear runs down our face For today we've lost someone, Someone close to us As saddness and hurt, Grief and sorrow, Pass through us  Like the four seasons, We can only think, That one common question Why? For a wonderful life, Was taken away, from all of us, Like a candle in the wind As the same flame, Flickers in all our hearts We fear tomorrow, For the sun, May not shine as bright For all the yesterday's Are framed in our hearts For every tear we shed, A loving memory is released As we all have, A common bond For in remembrance, Of a loving soul In life, the memories remain....
