My Way

The dance of decision pounds on my skull A ship in the distance rolling on its hull I envy the sailor with his legs off the ground The spirit and soul of the sea, he has found Granted he lives with the world to his back But they are his prisoners and he holds the slack His journey may end but his vision sustains  Views of blue horizons in the sun and in the rain Lost at sea, truly are we Who can't roll with the waves Like the sailor who braves Death's delivery from the moon   ...And we'll all be there soon Crying for his wisdom and bleeding for his truths We'll go down with the ship and the hard-handed crews We'll go down with the ship gurgling seaweed graves As he becomes one with his family of waves Live on, water-son! I've decided...       It's done...
