WISH'IN FOR SUBMISSION There's a stairway to heaven at the foot of Calvary And in faith I will ascend, if I believe in Christ in me. The strength to overcome the height As every step gets higher, harder Is to yeild to every blow, not fight; Evolve into a saintly martry. Faith's dominion hoists its shielding sails. Love's winds will propel and secure my back. Marvel as submission's power prevails! Resignation derails a demoniac attack! They'll wail when their travail fails. Vengence's nails will impale, then jail Their fiendish tails into hell. N'er to scale Or assail. Their final blow? To exhale! Beelzebub will not curtail death's pale. And when I climb that final step An "All Hale!" breaks loose, As I laud the King who regales To cook the devil's goose! |
Additional Notes:
