Day 14,235

Peeling white picket fences color my view, the present like fresh red sirloin, the past like a phantom on a scooter, the future a wisp of planned monotony. Days and weeks become TV reruns, emotional frailties are the soup of the day,  I hunger for change perhaps calamity, my path is well trodden, deep and comforting. Lightning strikes occasionally,  bringing weddings, birthdays and deaths, to be trapped and tied to film, and viewed on irksome rainy days. Precious minutes squandered on the mundane, spaghetti eaten for the thousandth time, oxygen wasted on shitty small talk, file this day in the Whatever folder.
