Mother Mary, hear my prayer My little girl is sick I ask, as her mother, That you watch over her today Should you see  That she is well From this day forward I honor your holy name My little girl will be dressed In blue and white In consecration to you Until the day she is dressed  Totally in white Her First Communion Day I'm in my 90th year now I can still see my old family home And the closet in the hall Which held my little blue dresses My mother hand sewed for me From the time I was two years old A mother's prayer of long ago Filled with all her love Mother Mary from above Responding with her love

Additional Notes:
while visiting with my mother one night she just started talking about how sick she was when she was two years old and how her mother's prayers were answered. This is published in "Never Alone" and on poetry.com. I usually do not use punctuation.
