On the Wings of an Angel Have you ever noticed A newborn baby Look up and smile Seeing past you and I? Have you ever felt That unseen touch Calming your fears Bringing peace to your mind? Have you ever found yourself Lost and unsure Frightened of the unknown? Yet, knowing all would be right. On the day we are born Our guardian angel Stands by our side So, it is no wonder The day our body dies Our angel is there To take our spirit home On the wings of an angel Who has always been By our side. |
Additional Notes:
inspiration came from my little granddaughter a few weeks after her birth. I would catch myself looking up to see if I could see what she saw......through the eyes of a child, begins a new journey. Again I did not punctuate much and I am sorry if this bothers some of you but my punctuation would really upset you as I know not what I do.
