Unassassinated (Revised)

Many have gone on before us, But only a few brave men have been able To leave their mark in our hearts. How do we repay some of these men? ~With assassination I see Julius Caesar, Leader of the Roman Empire, As Brutus reaches up to stab him. “Julius!! Watch out!” I scream.  It’s too late as I watch Julius’s body fall limply to the ground. I hear Abraham Lincoln, 16th President of the United States, Give the Gettysburg Address at the cemetery of the Civil War. I feel the pain of yet another American President Shot in cold blood, only this time by John Wilkes Booth. I hear Lyndon B. Johnson take the Presidential Oath Moments after John F. Kennedy,  35th President of the United States, Was shot down during a parade in Texas. I saw Martin Luther King Jr., a black activist, Give his, “I Had A Dream” speech.  I can still hear the shots As they ring out in Memphis in 1968. John Lennon’s, Beatles Rocker, music echoes throughout my mind. After giving him an autograph, Lennon was murdered  Outside of his apartment building, by Mark David Chapman. I can still see the men and women crying over his departure. Many more great men and women Have gone on before us, But these lives were taken by assassination. However, their memories and accomplishments Live on within our hearts Forever, Unassassinated.

Additional Notes:
Ok guys, I got the feedback and may I say very negative feedback on this 'piece' last time. Here it is one last time to see if it can get any good responses. I have made major changes and if you would like to see some, check out the older copy which is still posted. If this one gets the same negative feedback, I will throw it in the trash and completely forget about it. Thanks for your time.
