A Time to Call

Please take the time to call me I do know that you care Don't wait until it is too late I may not always be here I've been here for you Through some good days and some bad We've laughed together, cried together I've helped wipe away your tears Please take the time to call me I may not always be here Time has no meaning, swiftly passing us by Life, so full of memories Full of meaning when one cares Please take the time to call me I may not always be here The heart so full of life Now wearing down with age Wishes you would call me  While I am still here For the words we leave unspoken Though understood within May not get a second chance to be spoken For I may not always be here

Additional Notes:
published in "Never Alone" and on poetry.com request from young and old alike wanting to share this with someone they love. My mom talked each night about my brother not calling her and how it bothered her so. As always I am not good with punctuation.
