Psalm 8

O Lord who is our Lord How majestic is Your name In all of the earth Your creation does proclaim. You have displayed Your splendor on high Far above the heavens To be seen by every eye. Strength you have established Through the very young Infants and nursing babes Praising You with their tongue. So that those who speak evil Of the God who made all Will cease from their sayings Through the praises of the small. When I consider Your heavens And the work of Your fingers The moon and many stars Which You ordained to linger. What is man to You O God That You take thought of Him? And the sons of all mankind Why do You care about them? Many angels You have in heaven Yet on earth You placed man Crown him with glory and honor Include him in Your divine plan. You made him to rule Over the works of Your hands Put all things under His feet That He may govern Your lands. He rules over the beasts That walk in the field All the sheep and the oxen And the offspring they yield. The birds in the heavens And the fish in the sea All that travel therein You ordained man to oversee. O Lord who is our Lord How majestic is Your name In all of the earth Your creation does proclaim.
